Remarks Proliferation index after stimulation with PHA, PMA/ionomycin, anti-CD3 and anti-CD3/anti-CD28 and evaluation. Overnight delivery. The samples should ideally be stimulated and measured within 24-36 h after blood collection. The stimulants are not sent with the samples! This EQA scheme is intended for laboratories that perform lymphocyte proliferation assays to clarify lymphocyte dysfunction. Proliferation can be measured with cell tracer dyes, by 3H-thymidine incorporation or by MTT. Stimulation indices (3H-thymidine method and MTT) or proliferation indices (flow cytometric methods) and an evaluation can be reported.
