This EQA scheme is intended for laboratories that perform lymphocyte proliferation assays to clarify lymphocyte dysfunction. Proliferation can be measured with cell tracer dyes, by 3H-thymidine incorporation or by MTT. Stimulation indices (3H-thymidine method and MTT) or proliferation indices (flow cytometric methods) and an evaluation can be reported.
