Remarks The PT objectives are: - To assess the performance of laboratories that perform aerobic mesophilic bacteria count determinations in raw milk by comparing their results with the robust consensus average of all participants and setting the best estimate of reproducibility that can be obtained from test published in the scientific literature, protocols, interlaboratory tests and results of the proficiency tests carried out by LACM® / Metrology Division in recent years. This goal is common for both the plate count method and the instrumental (Bactoscan). - This performance will be evaluated through the use of samples of predial milk, which allows the participating laboratories to evaluate their performance under the same conditions as the routine analysis. - The proficiency test is intended for the plate counting methods supported by widely used standards and the BactoScan instrumental method. - In the case of the instrumental method, the proficiency test allows to assess the performance in terms of the CFU/ml prediction that is achieved with the function that relates the instrumental counts with the plate counts. https://lacm-icytal.uach.cl/metrologia/ Accreditation number: PEA-ENS-14
