Nevertheless tattoo inks not seldom contain Nickel. This proficiency testing scheme was designed to enable the participants to show the comparability in the analysis of this metal in tattoo inks. In contrast to cosmetic products, tattoo inks are not controlled especially concerning the sterility of products and microbiological analyses. .
