| Anmerkungen | This Scheme collects targeted key performance indicator data for a number of markers of pre-analytical and post-analytical testing over a time period. Examples include: Patient ID failures, Sample Volume failures, TAT failures etc. The participating laboratory provides both the number of failures for each category and the number of opportunities which could be based on counting the number of requests, or counting the number of specimens. This allows Birmingham Quality to calculate the number of defects/million and thus calculate a sigma score. No specimens are distributed as part of this Scheme.
