| Anmerkungen | This scheme is designed to fulfil participant requirements for methods that relate to the acquisition, processing, and analysis of mobile-based devices. Participant accreditation schedules within this area are based on the operating system of the mobile device as follows: • Google Android device including associated Micro SD Card • Apple iOS device • Non-smartphone proprietary systems including an associated SIM card • Mobile Acquisition File During each round, the Proficiency Test Kit will consist of the PT test items, a workbook in which questions are asked of the participants and a storage drive on which the participant will place acquisition note files, workbook responses and contemporaneous notes. Within the proficiency test scheme batch is a full analysis case background, examination strategy and participant workbook. The PT test devices, as outlined above, are provided, packed appropriately for police seizure, along with an encrypted CACI Storage Drive containing the acquisition file. Schemes are administered using CACI's web-based PT Portal, allowing participants to manage their schemes, participate in PT and receive final reports. | ||||||||||||

| Zielgruppe des Ringversuchs | The scheme has been designed to mirror that of a Law Enforcement Digital Forensics submission. As such, participants should primarily be Law Enforcement within the United Kingdom (UK). However, participants can also include non-Law Enforcement agencies which either supply services to Law Enforcement or carry out similar testing activities. Participants outside of the UK are considered, however the participant should be aware that dataset specifications are UK centric, and the language is English (United Kingdom). The scheme is intended for Digital Forensic Laboratories which hold, or are planning to achieve, ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation in relation to the acquisition, processing and analysis of Mobile based devices. Participants must be associated to a Digital Forensics Laboratory. The laboratory must operate methods for the acquisition, processing and analysis of mobile based devices, using industry tools. | ||||||||||||
