| Remarks | The proficiency testing item is a force transfer standard comprising a 100 kN capacity load cell with its dedicated digital indicator, circulated on a sequential (round-robin) basis — the artefact is dispatched to only one participant at a time in a pre-defined order and returned to the PT provider before onward despatch. The PT provider/reference laboratory establishes the assigned value by measurement before the loop, to verify stability and detect any drift or transit damage. Each participant shall measure the artefact as received, using it as a complete unit (load cell + indicator as a matched pair), at the nominated force steps of 10 , 20 , 30 , 40, 50 , 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 kN in compression, following ISO 376 / its documented procedure, and report indicated values along with the expanded uncertainty (k = 2, ~95 %) and the ambient conditions (20 ± 2 °C, stabilisation ≥ 3 h). The item shall be retained for not more than the stipulated period (typically 5–7 working days) and returned in the original transit case. Participants shall not open, dismantle, re-span, re-zero or re-adjust the load cell or indicator, nor overload it beyond 100 kN. Any damage, abnormal indication or handling incident during transit or measurement shall be intimated to the coordinator immediately and before proceeding. Performance is evaluated using the En number , against the assigned value derived from the reference laboratory measurements.
