Remarks The EQA test ist administered via www.bvdh-ringversuche.de; please register to get full access to further information. The EQA test is conducted online. Aim: The aim of the scheme is to evaluate the quality of the human genetic report after genetic counseling and thus to contribute to quality assurance and improvement of communication quality within the genetic counseling process. Procedure: On the basis of a given, concrete constellation in genetic counseling (personal medical history and family history), a corresponding human genetic report (“Humangenetische Stellungnahme”) has to be drawn. At the beginning of the EQA “Genetic counseling”, information on the start of registration and all relevant data (such as application deadline, processing deadlines and certificate dispatch) will be given on the EQA platform of the website www.bvhd-ringversuche.de. Tools and aids, as the manuscript on the human genetic report available in the member area of the www.bvdh-ringversuche.de website, the S2k guideline "Humangenetische Diagnostik und genetische Beratung" and additional information (e.g. checklist and a list with relevant reference points/criteria) will be provided on the BVDH platform www.bvdh-ringversuche.de for all participants. Method: The report on the above-mentioned genetic counsellng constellation is submitted via www.bvdh-ringversuche.de. The evaluation is essentially based on the above-mentioned list of relevant reference points/criteria. Certificate: A certificate will be issued indicating whether the participation was successful. The certificate is valid for two years.
