Turkey joins EPTIS

Turkey joins EPTIS. In the course of 2010, Turkish PT providers can offer their PT schemes on the EPTIS database. Interested? Contact Mr. Ebru Bali from TSE, the Turkish Organisation for Standardisation.

Improvement of COMAR database

[July 2008]
COMAR, the international database for certified reference materials (CRMs) has been improved by BAM for the benefit of CRM users and producers worldwide. The improvements aim at making searching in the database more simple and target-oriented, e.g. by

• internal use of the CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service) number irrespective of the name of a chemical compound used in a specific inquiry,
• implementation of "matrix search" as a new search tool which should help to find a proper matrix CRM, i.e. a CRM certified for the amount of specified analytes in a defined matrix (e.g. soil, wood, sludge, foodstuffs).
